      Elizabeth began playing the piano at an early age and accompanied choirs whilst still at school in Cheshire, taking part in many festivals and competitions, including Chester, Blackpool, Harrogate and Llangollen Eisteddfod.

Having gained the Associate and Licentiate Diplomas in piano performance she began teaching piano pupils, and continued to accompany choirs in Cheshire and soloists taking their diploma examinations in Liverpool as well as playing a Beethoven piano concerto with the local orchestra.

In 1989 moved to Cornwall and soon began accompanying male choirs, namely Saltash, Rame Peninsula, Tamar Valley, and Trelawney touring 3 times as accompanist and soloist, visiting Singapore and New Zealand, Western Canada and Eastern Canada as well as European tours to France, Germany, Spain and the Czech Republic.

She has been MD of 2 choirs and for a production of the musical, “Oliver”, staged in Plymouth.

Elizabeth also plays and writes music for piano accordion and is often asked to perform at concerts on this instrument.
In 2014 she was privileged to play at the Royal Albert Hall in London, accompanying the massed male voice choir at their concert “Kernow A Gan”.  In 2022 she accompanied the massed male voice choir at the Birmingham Symphony Hall.

Currently playing for Keltique (ladies choir), Rame Peninsula (male choir).

Elizabeth has also won first prizes for her compositions for 4 part male choirs in composers’ competitions and currently has an award winning piece, “Travel in Style” in publication.
